Question: I had extensive back surgery and although I have been in therapy for 6 weeks the pain is stopping me to unlock my hip flexors. My last x-ray showed the surgery was successful and there is no inner problems. I’m totally frustrated because of the pain.
Glad to know that the surgery went well. However hard it may be, you need to try to understand that the pain is part of the healing process. Just trust that in time, this pain will eventually wear off and that it will be gone soon. The next thing you know, you are pain-free or at least have less pain, but are much more able to perform activities.
I suggest meditating for pain relief and healing, as this has been practiced for many years and has been proven in studies to have benefits in managing pain as once the body starts to relax, the stress starts to decrease, and the pain as well. You may start for 5 minutes and just listen to your breathing, and imbibe positive energy and then gently exhale the pain away. Just always visualize that you are now pain-free and completely healed.
