Q: I had patella knee surgery, with pins installed (still in till removal) holding broken kneecap together, 9 weeks ago, allowed to start rehab 2 weeks ago. I asked which program specifically address rehab for this.
Initial weight-bearing exercise is usually limited to gently touching your toe to the floor. As your injury heals and your muscles strengthen, you will gradually be able to put more weight on your leg.
Please check this link from EFI website on what exercises are suitable after a knee surgery: http://exercisesforinjuries.com/?s=knee+surgery&x=0&y=0
In this site, Rick has this program called the Fix My Knee Pain program wherein it addresses broken kneecap, http://www.criticalbench.com/gains/fmkp
Please note to contact your physiotherapist and doctor to confirm that the program is safe and right for you to do the exercises and what you should do or not do.
I hope this information has helped you!
