Q: I had ACL Reconstruction surgery 19 weeks ago. My range of motion & extensions are excellent, however, I have snapping / popping in the back of my knee which causes me to limp. What can I do to help it?
After an ACL surgery, your quadricep tendon becomes very weak and when this occurs, your kneecap does not track as well in the groove of your knee. This makes it easy to hyperextend the knee (causes you to limp) and get this popping to occur. This will improve as your motion and quad gets stronger.
